New Dental Clinic At Queens’ MarketPlace

Waikoloa Beach Resort, Hawai‘i Island—Queens’ MarketPlace is a natural location for smiling faces, and more so now with the addition of Waikoloa Dental Clinic and Craig Fostvedt, DDS.

A full-service family dentist, Fostvedt opened Waikoloa Dental Clinic in September and looks forward to treating patients of all ages—from children’s orthodontics to dentures for the kupuna. The community will remember Fostvedt’s well-established clinic in Waimea, which he sold three years ago in order to tend to family needs on the mainland. Earlier this year, he returned to Hawai‘i Island and worked with Hamakua Health Center’s Amazing Tooth Bus while preparing for the new clinic.

In 25 years of practice, Fostvedt has seen dental technology evolve. “There are so many new, easier and less-invasive ways to do things now,” he said. “But it still takes a gentle touch.”

“We are all about the patient,” said Tanya Keanu, Office Manager, “From the first phone call to the procedure to walking out the door.” Working with nearby resort hotels and condominium properties, they are offering services to employees and guests as well. Their goal is to help visitors with their dental issues quickly and conveniently, so they can continue their vacation practically uninterrupted.
