Asian Fest – Friday, January 31, 2020 | 4:30 – 8 pm
A celebration of the far east and a rousing welcome to the Year of the Rat, Queens’ MarketPlace invites the community to join in the excitement of Asian Fest. The free event is a unique and popular way to experience and enjoy the music, cuisine and customs of China, Japan, Okinawa, the Philippines, and other Asian cultures. Highlights of the event include food tastings, nonstop entertainment and a spectacular Lion Dance. A centuries-old tradition, essential to New Year’s festivities in Hawai‘i, the colorful Chinese Lion Dancers perform acrobatic feats and leaps, interacting with the audience and parading through Queens’ MarketPlace from door to door.

In honor of Chinese New Year, Queens’ MarketPlace is offering a limited-time gift with purchase promotion between Friday, January 24th to Friday, January 31st. Shoppers who redeem $200 or more in same-day receipts from Queens’ MarketPlace stores and restaurants may pick up a complimentary lai see red envelope at the Queens’ MarketPlace Management Office. Each lai see red envelope is filled with a lucky number which corresponds to a specific prize. Prizes will can be redeemed immediately. Prizes include QMP specialty logo items, lucky number gift cards, and merchandise from participating stores, including Cariloha, Crocs, Dairy Queen, Hawaiian Quilt Collection, Kona Surf N Sandals, Kuleana Rum Shack, Mahina, Olivia Clare, Reyn Spooner, and Yoga Barre.
Lai see envelopes will be limited to one envelope per person, per day, and while supplies last. Promotion ends on January 31 at 3:00 pm.
