Kris Fuchigami is a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award–winning ‘ukulele virtuoso from Hilo, Hawai‘i. He began his musical journey at 13, teaching himself to play on a beat-up ‘ukulele. By 15, he had won the Hamakua Music Scholarship Competition, launching a career that now spans international stages. Known for his dynamic blend of traditional Hawaiian melodies and contemporary influences, Kris has released multiple albums, including More Than This and Resurgence. His original compositions, such as “Moemoea” and “Life Is,” have earned him multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards for Instrumental Composition of the Year.
