*Due to inclement weather, Kanikapila has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 29. The safety of our musician, attendees, and staff is our highest priority. Mahalo for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you on August 29 for the next Kanikapila Monthly Series Concert.

Discover Hawai‘i Island’s best musical talents at Queens’ Marketplace’s Kanikapila Monthly Concert Series sponsored by KWXX, every third Saturday of the month. This month features Keoni Thompson.

Keoni Thompson is a musician from Kona on Hawai’i Island, where he was raised surrounded by the sounds of Hawaiian music, country storytelling, and the rhythms of the ocean. Growing up in a place where slack key guitar, island reggae, and paniolo country traditions all live side by side, Keoni developed a style that blends Hawaiian contemporary music with country-inspired songwriting. His music reflects the landscapes, culture, and everyday life of Hawai’i-often drawing inspiration from the ocean, the land, and the spirit of aloha.
